TRANSPORT DURING THE GAMES

Lundaspelen has an extended collaboration with the local public transport company; Skånetrafiken for all commutes between accommodation, the canteen where you have your meals and the sport halls during the days. Everyone who has either booked and paid for accommodation in our schools or the Lundaspelen Hotles or who has purchased the travel cards (Resekort) separately will receive a physical travel card upon check-in at your accommodation. This public transport offers good transport between your different destinations

The Resekort gives you full access to local public transport on green and yellow busses, the tram in Lund city and the local commuter train “Pågatågen”. It is a personal card with a QR code that you scan on each journey, either in the scanner or shown to the train ticket controller.

The first day of arriving to Lund – Arriving from abroad via Kastrup Airport
The best way to buy tickets in advance is to use the Skånetrafiken app, which you can download from Appstore or where you buy your app. There is an English version available, and you can easily connect a credit card to the App.

You can buy in advance and activate the ticket when you arrive at the airport.
When you buy a ticket to Lund C, this is also valid for your onward journey with local transport within the city of Lund.

In this PDF “Traveling by bus and train. A simple guide for a sustainable journey” (click to open/download) you can find the guide from Skånetrafiken on how you book your tickets for your trip to Lund from international destinations.

How to plan your journeys over the days?
Make sure to plan well ahead. Use the Skånetrafiken website or app for planning and combine it with Google Maps to find the name of bus stops and train stops near your accommodation or tournament hall. Visit Skånetrafiken website at www.skanetrafiken.se/sok-resa/

If, after planning your journey, you find that it is not possible for your team to travel between your accommodation and the sports hall, please email transport@lundaspelen.com to get help with transportation. We are happy to assist if we can!
