Code of Conduct
Lundaspelen Handball is a place for community, joy and sporting development. We have a Code of Conduct because everyone deserves a positive, inclusive experience: players, coaches, officials, referees, supporters and organisers.
For players
1. Respect your teammates, opponents, and referees
2. Respect the rules – say no to deliberate rule breaking and unsporting behaviour
3. Encourage and support your teammates, on and off the field – say yes to friendship
4. Be your best self – you are the best ambassador for your team and your club
For coaches
1. Be a role model by behaving respectfully and sportingly
2. Encourage fair play and a positive attitude among the players
3. Respect the referees’ decisions and show patience for mistakes
4. Make sure all players feel included and encouraged and develop
For referees
1. Treat all teams and participants with respect and fairness
2. Act professionally and follow the tournament rules and regulations
3. Handle any conflict with calm and clarity
4. Be a role model by creating a safe environment for all involved
For supporters and visitors
1. Be your best self – Positively support your team, avoid derogatory comments towards opponents or referees
2. Show respect for the referees and refereeing decisions
3. Show respect for all participants, regardless of level or result
4. Be a role model by creating an inclusive, welcoming environment
5. Follow the organiser’s instructions and respect the rules – for everyone’s safety
For organisers
1. Create a safe, fair environment for all participants and visitors
2. Act professionally and deal with any problems quickly and respectfully
3. Use calmness and clarity to promote fair play and the values of sport
4. Make sure everyone feels welcome, regardless of background, gender or ability.
Unsporting behaviour has consequences
Behaviour that is disrespectful, unsporting, disruptive, threatening, or violent is prohibited, including the verbal harassment of players, coaches, referees, organisers, or supporters.
1. Any supporter who displays disrespectful or unsporting behaviour will be reminded of the Lundaspelen Code of Conduct by the hall manager.
2. If there is no improvement, the hall manager in consultation with the referees will issue a warning to the supporter or supporters. The coaches from the supporter’s club will be reminded of the Lundaspelen Code of Conduct by the hall manager.
3. If there is no improvement, the hall manager in consultation with the referees will contact the Lundaspelen Competition Director and further measures will be taken.
